PRE PMA TESTS Those who have approached, or are approaching, PMA have immediately understood the importance of carrying out some preliminary tests, i.e. those also required by law before arriving at the egg pickup.
This is a somewhat cumbersome question because there are different types of tests to be done: those that have no deadline, those that have a deadline of three months, and those that have a deadline beyond 3 months with very variable response times and for some very long.
Obviously, in order to have all the tests in order before the pick up, dedication is needed and patients often turn directly to various private laboratories or NHS facilities (GPs, hospitals, affiliated laboratories).
Unfortunately, however, we have seen how there are often long delays in the delivery of results and even errors in the transcription of exams at various levels.
Furthermore, when you turn to the private sector, the costs can be very high and even in the public sector these are often not negligible.
Finally, how can we not think about all the time that is lost in the ranks of the family doctor and in the hospitals with the various bureaucratic delays one encounters? Just think of the requirement of a genetic examination that some regions require before carrying out the simple karyotype of the couple! This is why we at Biofertility have created a very effective method to arrive at the pickup with all the tests in order and on time, activating important discounts so as not to further burden our patients' finances.
In fact, they already have significant expenses for their PMA journey and even the time lost or the stress that certain tours entail have a cost! The discounts concern all exams scheduled for the PMA with prices up to 50% lower than those normally found in the private sector.
In this way, patients will be reassured that they will have carried out all the tests correctly in a short time (even in the afternoon if it is convenient for them) without risking postponing the pick up or redoing tests that are inadequate compared to those requested.
