The spermiogram is the laboratory test that evaluates the quantity and quality of the seminal fluid.

It is performed after 3-5 days of sexual abstinence.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO) the minimum values of the normal spermiogram should be: volume of liquid 1.5 ml, concentration of spermatozoa between 12 and 15 million per ml, progressive, i.e. valid, motility of 30% of all spermatozoa present, and a percentage of 4% that have an adequate shape.

It is essential that the spermiogram is performed by operators who are experts in this test because it is very delicate and must follow the WHO criteria.
